Keeping Up With the Kardashians filming has stopped in the wake of the attack on Kim Kardashian in Paris.

The mother of two was bound, gagged and robbed of a reported £9 million worth of jewellery by five men at her apartment on Sunday night.

An E! spokesperson for the reality TV show, which propelled the family to fame said: “Kim’s well-being is our core focus right now.

“No decision has been made as to when production will resume.”

A second source told Radar Online that the show may be pulled permanently as Kardashian is keen to step out of the spotlight.

"Kim told her mother that, as of right now, she does not want to be on the show anymore and she wants to step out of the spotlight for a while to focus on her kids and her marriage," the source said.

Kardashian frequently keeps fans up-to-date with her life on social media and was pictured flashing her £3.5 million replica engagement ring on Snapchat and Instagram as well as other jewellery in the days leading up to the attack, which left her “shaken”.

Following the terrifying ordeal she flew to New York to be with husband Kanye West before flying back to Los Angeles with their two children, three-year-old North and nine-month-old Saint.

Kardashian this week announced that she has postponed an appearance at a make-up launch in Dubai "due to the recent events".

Her sisters have also cancelled several public appearances over "security" fears.

Khloe Kardashian was scheduled to promote her memoir, Strong Looks Better Naked, at Barnes and Noble but a representative said: “Due to recent events and ongoing security issues, we are cancelling all book signings.”

Kendall and Kylie Jenner have also pulled out of upcoming events to promote their new book Time of the Twins: The Story of Lex and Livia.
