Kayvan Novak has said that he is keen to “break Hollywood” as he gears up to launch his brand of prank character-based comedy in the US.

The Fonejacker star, who has just shot a film in America, is in the process of penning a brand new show for an international audience.

“Breaking Hollywood, that's the next phase for me. I think I’ve exhausted all my options in the UK, unless I become a game show host,” he told the Standard.

“I’ve got to follow in the footsteps of Sacha Baron Cohen and do a prank show, or a film with real elements to it. I’m in the process of writing something.”

Reboot: Kayvan Novak stars in the new Thunderbirds series

While Novak is staying tight-lipped about his most recent film project, he said that his fellow cast members were all suitably impressed with his unique brand of comedy.

“I just did a film and everyone in the movie is American apart from me so I was filling them in on who I was and what I’d been up to for the last 10 years,” he said.

“They were p****** themselves so it gave me hope that I can give American’s laugh.”

Novak is also reprising his role as Brains in the children’s television reboot of Thunderbirds, which returns this year for a second series.

“It’s been amazing to do it, I heard they were doing Thunderbirds about two years before they came to cast it and I was straight on the phone to my agent saying that I wanted to be part of it and now I am,” he said.

“I auditioned for a lot of different roles but when it came to Brains I thought idea of him being Indian or Asian was great so I gave him an Asian flavour and they really liked it.”

International Thunderbirds Day will take place on 30th September with Season 2, Part 2 of Thunderbirds Are Go coming to CITV in the Autumn.
