Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called time on their relationship.

The celebrity couple told fans that they are giving each other “respectful, loving space”.

In a joint statement their reps said: “Before rumours or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time.”

The surprise announcement comes 48 hours after they were photographed together at the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscars Party.

They shunned a joint red carpet appearance, but were pictured together inside the glitzy event.

The A-list couple – who started dating after the 2016 Golden Globe Awards – were hit by split rumours in November when it was reported that they had ended their relationship because Bloom wasn’t ready for marriage and more children.

But a source close to Perry claimed she initiated the split as they were both on “different life paths”.

The couple attended several high profile events together, including the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala in Cannes, during their relationship.

But they famously hit the headlines last September when the Lord of the Rings actor was pictured naked paddle boarding with the California Girls singer in Italy.

Bloom was previously married to Miranda Kerr – who he has six-year-old son Flynn with – while Perry was married to Russell Brand.
