Katie Price has opened up about a foiled plot to kidnap her disabled son Harvey.

The mother-of-five claimed she was warned by authorities of a plot to stage a car accident, grab her son Harvey and hold him for a £1million ransom.

Opening up about the terrifying plot on Loose Women, Price said: “The kids had to be followed to school. These people were going to set up a car accident, take Harvey and ask for a £1million ransom.”

The former glamour model claimed the authorities camped outside her house in a bid to foil one of several plots to kidnap her family.

“I’ve had three kidnap attempts where Scotland Yard knocked at my door and they knew everything that was going to happen,” she said.

“One was a gang from Liverpool who knew all the plans to my house and the police knew they were on their way to me so I stayed in London.”

She said the latest attempt came to light after a mechanic found a tracking device on her car during a service check.

“My car went to be serviced and they phoned and said they found a tracker so the police took my car.”

Speaking about the security measures she takes to protect herself and her family she said: "The thing is, if they're going to get you then they're going to get you...

"You can buy all the security you want. I've got panic buttons and everything like that. But if something did happen, by the time the police would be able to get to my house, they would have already got me."
