Katie Price has revealed she is planning her mother’s funeral with her following her recent terminal diagnosis.

Price said she was left devastated last year when her mother, Amy, was diagnosed with Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, a terminal lung condition with no cure.

Speaking about her coping mechanisms on Irish TV show, The Ray D’Arcy Show, she said: “I’m very matter of fact with my brothers and sisters and I’m like: ‘You do know mum, she is going to die?’ and they’re like: ‘No, she’ll be alright’. I’m like: ‘But she isn’t.’

“Nobody wants to accept it but I am very matter of fact. I say to my mum: ‘Come on, like, I know it sounds awful but even your funeral - what would you want for it?

“Let’s get the best funeral ever! Because if you can plan your own funeral and stuff, it’s just easier for other people.

“I try to be light hearted on it. Of course I love my mum to bits.”

Fans of Price will see her caring for her terminally-ill mother and dealing with the fallout from her marriage split in the second series of her reality show, My Crazy Life.

The 39-year-old has been shooting scenes in which she looks after her mother in the months following her shock diagnosis.

The series will also address Price’s split from Kieran Hayler and the allegations of his serial cheating.

She announced plans for the re-commissioned series of the show last week saying: “There’s always drama in the Pricey household and I think this year might well be the craziest yet so I had to do another series of ‘My Crazy Life’ with Quest Red.

“Taking on Parliament, helping my Mum, keeping the kids in check, and of course figuring out what is going on with Kieran – nothing is off limits and it will all be in the new show.”

Price recently broke down in tears on Loose Women while discussing her mother’s recent diagnosis, saying that the late Keith Chegwin, who died from IPF last year, had been helping the family.
