Justin Bieber reportedly punched a man in the face to rescue a woman allegedly being assaulted at Coachella.

According to TMZ, the Sorry singer was at a Coachella party on Saturday when a man allegedly “went ballistic” and grabbed a woman by the throat.

Bieber reportedly yelled at the man to let the woman go but he refused telling the singer to “go and f*** yourself.”

The 24-year-old What Do You Mean hit maker then allegedly “hit the man in the face and pushed him against the wall, allowing the woman to break free.”

TMZ added that the man appeared to be “under the influence of drugs” to the extent that he reportedly later chased after an SUV he believed was transporting Bieber.

Police are believed to have arrived on the scene and reportedly arrested the man shortly after.

The news comes after Beyonce made history at the festival by becoming the first black woman to headline the show.

The singer reunited with Destiny’s Child during her set on the second day of the star-studded festival in Indo, California in an “iconic” moment that delighted people across the globe.

As the star took the stage for her much-anticipated performance, fans renamed the festival Beychella in a hashtag that was trending on Twitter.

The 36-year-old took the stage for her Coachella debut shortly after 11pm, opening with a marching band version of her hit Crazy in Love.

It had been rumoured that the star would reunite with Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowlands and Michelle Williams during the set.

And fans were not left disappointed – the trio appeared on the festival’s main stage, performing Lose My Breath, Say My Name and Soldier.
