Justin Bieber looks set to bag this year’s Christmas number one.

The Canadian pop sensation, who currently has three singles inside the top ten, is out-selling closest rival The NHS Choir.

According to the Official Chart Company, Bieber’s Love Yourself has edged ahead in the midweek charts with a lead of 3000 combined sales.

The Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Choir’s A Bridge Over Your isn’t far behind and is currently in the number two spot.

A mash-up of Coldplay’s Fix You and Simon & Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water, the single will donate proceeds to charities Mind and Carers UK.

Bieber is also sitting pretty in the number three spot with song Sorry, while Grace ft G-Eazy is at number four with You Don’t Own Me.

The X Factor single by Louisa Johnson may have climbed from number nine to number six in the midweeks, but would have to sell a staggering amount of copies to be in with a chance at bagging the top spot.

The Official Christmas Chart Top 40 will be announced on BBC Radio One on Christmas Day.
