Josh Brolin has stripped naked to pose with a giant fish.

The 50-year-old actor left fans stunned as he got up close with a Hawaiian Wahoo fish.

Brolin perched on a wooden stool as he struck a smouldering look for the camera.

The image comes as part of the FishLove campaign, which aims to raise awareness of marine damage caused by unsustainable fishing practices.

Fans couldn't get enough of the snap with one hailing the fish “lucky”.

One fan tweeted: “Omg this is ridiculous but..... lucky fish.”

A second posted: “I feel like there needs to be a commissioned painting of this, as Cable, that is delivered to @vancityreynolds.”

A third commented: “I am here for this type of content.”

Goonies actor Brolin is one of several artists to strip down for the campaign including Dame Judy Dench, Emma Thompson and Helena Bonham-Carter.

Our Fish Programme Director Rebecca Hubbard said: “The Year 2020 sounds like a dystopian Hollywood movie - yet this is the deadline set by the EU for ending overfishing of fish stocks and we are now hurtling towards it, with our governments asleep at the wheel.

“Overfishing and climate change are putting fish stocks under pressure, and threatening the health of ocean ecosystems and food security.”

A petition to end overfishing and discarding, and protect European marine environments, has over 179,000 signatures.

Brolin is set to star in Deadpool 2, alongside Ryan Reynolds.

The news comes after Reynolds stage some unusual promo for the release of the film.

The Canadian actor, who plays the Marvel superhero, dressed up as a unicorn for an appearance on a popular South Korean TV show.

Reynolds donned a glittery cape, white gloves and a colourful unicorn mask – complete with a horn – as he belted out a song on King of Mask Singer.

The show sees contestants sing in elaborate masks to hide their identity as they battle it out in front of a panel of celebrities.

Reynolds sung Tomorrow from hit musical Annie as audience members clapped and sang along.

The panel couldn’t believe their eyes and were left screaming after he took off the mask to reveal himself as “the best villainous hero of Hollywood”.
