Johnny Depp will make his first US TV appearance since Amber Heard’s abuse claims against him.

The A-list actor will appear alongside his band Hollywood Vampires on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday.

While it’s unclear whether or not Depp and band mates Alice Cooper and Joe Perry will sit down with Colbert for an interview, they have been booked as the show’s musical act.

Announced on Thursday, the band will join guests Bryan Cranston and Busy Philipps.

Hollywood Vampires have been touring Europe and the US over the last few months and are set to wrap in California at the end of July.

The ‘super-group’ released their self-titled debut album back in February, and embarked on their world tour despite the furore surrounding Depp’s marriage.

Heard, 30, filed for divorce from the 53-year-old on May 23, claiming in court papers that he had been ‘verbally and physically abusive’ for the duration of their four-year relationship.

A court hearing to consider the domestic violence claims against him was originally due to take place in June but was postponed until August 15.

Depp has yet to speak out about the claims but a number of his close friends have commented on the allegations, including former girlfriend Winona Ryder.

Speaking to Time Magazine last month, she said: “I can only speak from my own experience, which was wildly different than what is being said.

“He was never, never that way towards me. Never abusive at all towards me. I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves.”
