Jeremy Renner made things rather awkward for Susanna Reid on Good Morning Britain when he refused to take his coat off.

The A-list actor, who was on the show to promote his new film Arrival, wore his thick jacket throughout the interview on Wednesday morning, despite the fact that they were in the studio.

“You’ve got your coat on. Are you not used to the weather?” Reid asked the star as they introduced him.

“We’ll just leave you to sip on your coffee,” added Ben Shephard.

“The mammy in me is enraged by the fact Jeremy Renner is sitting inside with his coat on @GMB #wontfeelthegoodofit,” one person posted on Twitter.

Later on, Reid joked: "Here is something you will be interested in - the weather forecast. You can decide whether you can take your coat off after that."

As the interview got underway, Renner admitted that he hadn’t even watched all of his new film the whole way through.

“I don't really watch movies. I don't have time,” he said. “I have seen it, but I haven’t seen it finished.”

The Avengers star was keener to talk about his co-star Amy Adams, who he described as an ‘absolute treasure.’

“There’s never enough quality lead roles for females in Hollywood. I think this is a spectacular one, she’s a superhero,” he said.

“To work with Amy and support Amy in this was an absolute treasure.”

Reid interviewed Renner on the show last year and seemed to get on pretty well with the A-lister.

Fans were quick to point out that the pair had chemistry after Reid told him: “You look in pretty good shape by the way … you look in great shape.”
