Georgia Toffolo has come under fire after a video resurfaced of her complaining about “bloody lefties” during an appearance on Celebs Go Dating.

Toffolo left some questioning why they voted for her to be crowned Queen of the jungle on I’m A Celebrity after E4 shared a video of her getting ‘frustrated’ with her date.

“He’s a bloody leftie,” she said. “This guy isn’t just left-wing. He’s literally Lord left-wing.”

Toffolo, who identifies as centre right, said: “I just don’t understand how a young person of our age sits with the ideology of socialism. I think you want to go out and prosper, so how could you be left wing?

“I’m finding this so frustrating. Seriously he’s a complete contradiction.”

The clip, which has since been deleted, caused uproar, with some saying it ‘put them right off’ of the reality TV star, while others deemed it “vomit inducing”.

One user tweeted: “I love Toff but I hate her politics. I don't understand how who I saw on I'm a Celeb sits at that end of the political spectrum. She’s far too nice to be a Tory.”

Another posted: “Judging by her logic, disabled people who are unable to work will never be as equal as everyone else.... yep, sounds Tory.”

Toffolo, who has been a member of the Conservative Party since she was a teenager, has spoken previously about her love for politics – and middle-aged politicians.

Asked which politicians she admires, she told The Sunday Times: “The standard: Zac Goldsmith, Jacob Rees-Mogg. I fancy them all. Jacob’s a sex god.

“The human mind can be sexy. He’s so clever, I just love him.”

Toffolo entertained viewers with her friendship with Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson’s father Stanley during her time on I’m a Celebrity.
