Holly Willoughby left This Morning viewers divided with her outfit choice after she covered up her legs a day after causing controversy with her short skirt.

Willoughby, 37, wore a knee length skirt on Wednesday’s show after revealing her choice of skirt on Tuesday was deemed “too short” for daytime TV.

Keen to avoid another last minute change, Willoughby opted for a tasselled knee length number on Wednesday which she paired with nude heels and a blue long sleeve top.

Posting her latest look on Instagram she wrote: “Morning Wednesday!!!! Today’s look... skirt by #mave @anthropologieeu top by @goatfashion and shoes by @gianvitorossi #hwstyle.”

Some fans weren’t keen on the demure look with one commenting: “Bring back the mini skirt .... far too old fashioned for you x.”

Another wrote: “Oh not the skirt holly, looks like something my nan would have worn, sorry x.”

A third posted: “Wear whatever you’re comfortable in @hollywilloughby, who cares what people say.”

But others were fans of the longer number with many claiming it made her look more “comfortable” and “elegant”.

One user posted: “Much better length!”

A third commented: “A much better length skirt, we all know you have fantastic legs, but really we don’t all need to see them!”

It comes a day after she revealed she was forced to swap a chequered wrap skirt for a longer denim number after show bosses deemed it too revealing.

Posting the original look on Instagram, she wrote: “The one that got away. Too short for This Morning.”
