Holly Willoughby and This Morning colleague Rochelle Humes shared a sweet photo of their daughters bonding as they enjoyed a summer holiday together.

Willoughby posted a split image on her Instagram account, showing her daughter Belle, eight, running into the sea with Humes' eldest daughter six-year-old Alaia-Mai while they visited Portugal.

She captioned the post with a sweet tribute to the presenter, thanking the former Saturdays singer for "looking after" Phillip Schofield during her stint hosting I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here last year.

"Who knew… when the girl you love and admire looks after @schofe when you are away, and then when you finally get the time together as a family @rochellehumes," she wrote.

The 38-year-old added: "Our girls fall into sync… it's like looking in the mirror… #girls #family # minime."

Humes, 30, and her family had joined Willoughby and her children in Quinta do Lago in Portugal's Algarve.

The presenter has been enjoying the sun with her relatives, including her mother Linda, and three children, Belle, Harry, 10, and four-year-old Chester.

Meanwhile Humes made the most of quality time with Alaia-Mai and two-year-old Valentina, and husband Marvin.

The couple celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary at the weekend.

The joint holiday is a rarity as Rochelle usually stands in for on the ITV morning show when Willoughby is away.

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford are currently covering for Willoughby and Schofield during their extended summer break.

Willoughby has been actively documenting her time away on Instagram and sent her followers into a frenzy when she posted a make-up free selfie wearing a white shirt and shorts.

In another snap Holly gushed over her mum Linda, 71, sharing a picture of her in a strapless swimsuit and hat and writing in the caption: "When I grown up I want to be just like this please... #glammam #glamgran#timelessbeauty"

Humes agreed that she had also been in awe of her glamorous mum, commenting: "Me too."
