Helen Flanagan and Scott Sinclair break up 'for good' after four years

Former Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan has confirmed she has split from Manchester City player Scott Sinclair "for good" following a four-year relationship.

The former Coronation Street actress has confirmed she has broken up with the soccer star following a four-year relationship, and plans to move out of the Cheshire home they share.

She told The Sun newspaper: "It is over for good this time."

Despite the pair splitting and reconciling a number of times in the past, friends believe their latest break up will be permanent and the 22-year-old hopes it will give her a "new lease of life".

A friend of the couple said: "Helen and Scott break up every other week. It is something all of her friends have got used to. But the fact that she's told close pals it's all over is a new step.

"She loves Scott but thinks breaking free will give her a new lease of life.

"The fact she is talking so publicly about 'the end' means this could be it for good."

Last week, Helen - who played Rosie Webster in the ITV soap for 11 years - hinted she had split from 24-year-old Scott by taking to her Twitter account to announce she is starting a "new chapter" in her life.

She wrote: "New chapter got to be happy xxx (sic)"

But the former 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' star has warned any potential suitors will have to be "gentlemen" if they have any chance of dating her.

She tweeted: "For me the most attractive thing is a gentleman ☺ xxx"

As well as her break up with Scott, Helen has split from her Twitter account to avoid her comments getting "blown out of proportion".

She said: "Lately I've had mixed feelings about using Twitter because I feel like I can't do anything right. The papers said I was promoting anorexia when I said I liked a picture of a Victoria's Secret model, which I wasn't at all!

"I used to really enjoy Twitter, but now I can't write on it because my comments always get blown out of proportion and I get branded dumb."
