Glenn Close and Michael Douglas leave fans delighted with Fatal Attraction reunion 32 years later

Glenn Close and Michael Douglas treated fans to a Fatal Attraction reunion at the SAG Awards on Sunday night, 32 years after the film’s premiere.

The acting icons, who starred as Dan Gallagher and Alex Forrest, teamed up to present Patricia Arquette with her award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Movie or Miniseries.

Standing side-by-side with Close, Douglas said: “In the 32 years since Fatal Attraction and the 25 since these awards began, we've experienced many changes in our craft, in our industry, in the way we relate and in our world.

“The one constant that unites us is the joy of being captivated by a mesmerizing performance.”

And the very brief reunion was enough for fans to be calling for the duo to remake the famous film in the modern day as they delighted in seeing their favoueites back together.

One wrote: “Remake Fatal Attraction with current day Glenn Close and Michael Douglas. #SAGAwards.”

Another said: “Woohoooo. Dan & Alex from #FatalAttraction are reunited!”

“Fatal Attraction reunion with Glenn and Michael. WHERE'S THE RABBIT?!?!?! #SAGAwards,” commented somebody else.

In the popular 1987 film, Close and Douglas’ characters become embroiled in a passionate affair with devastating consequences.

On Sunday night, Close was honoured for her role in The Wife as she bagged the Leading Actress award over Lady Gaga, Olivia Colman, Emily Blunt and Melissa McCarthy.

Douglas was nominated for two awards for his role in The Kominsky Method but lost out to Tony Shalhoub for his role in Amazon Prime hit The Marvelous Mrs Maisel.
