Geri Horner has confirmed that the Spice Girls have finished rehearsals ahead of their reunion tour, providing fans with a sneak peek at the new stage design.

Horner (née Halliwell) shared a photo on Instagram of her and bandmate Melanie Chisholm holding hands on stage, with Chisholm staying true to her Sporty Spice persona in a pair of tracksuit bottoms and a cropped Spice World t-shirt.

She added another snap of the finished stage, which features colourful lights and a globe-shaped decoration with Spice World written on it.

The lighting design is the work of Tim Routledge, who has previously worked with the likes of Beyonce, Sam Smith and Florence and the Machine, while the set and creative direction is provided by Jason Sherwood and Kate Moross.

“Spice World Production rehearsals done!” Horner wrote in her caption. “Welcome to Spice World 2019! See you in Dublin! #3daystogo #HouseofGinger.”

The band are set to kick off their stadium tour in Croke Park in Dublin on May 24.

Horner recently laughed off reports that the band are at loggerheads following Melanie Brown’s claims that the pair had a fling at the height of their 90s fame.

Speaking during a recording of Piers Morgan’s Life Stories, Brown smiled and nodded when the host asked her if she had shared a bed “like that” with Horner.

“No one is perfect but it’s all fine. We’re having a blast. It’s an absolute laugh,” Horner told The Sun earlier this week.

“Our relationship is really good. We’ve all been really positive, so it’s nice. It’s natural. I’m really happy, everyone’s happy.”

The singer denied the claims in a statement soon after, which described the comments as “hurtful.”

“Geri loves the Spice Girls: Emma, Melanie, Melanie and Victoria [Beckham]. She would like [the fans] to know that what has been reported recently is simply not true and has been very hurtful to her family,” a spokesperson for Horner told Standard Online.

“Moving on, Geri can’t wait to see the girls and all the fans on the tour, have an amazing time with everyone, and make some new memories.”
