Gemma Collins' new reality show Diva Forever has left fan divided with many unsure about whether or not it is a "parody".

The new series premiered last night on ITVBe and Collins' antics and diva behaviour left some viewers baffled.

Living up to the show’s title, the former TOWIE star didn’t shy away from bossing around her handyman Laurence Hearn – who she met when she appeared on Celebs Go Dating – and her own manager, as well as on-off boyfriend James “Arg” Argent.

Elsewhere in the first episode Collins called up producer Naughty Boy and telling him they need to make a music video for her upcoming song – a single she hasn’t even recorded yet.

She also forced her stylist to make a Versace-style dress in less than an hour.

In another scene, Collins lost it with Argent because she needed to wait for him outside his hairdressers for 20 minutes while he got a blow-dry and later burst into tears when he told her he couldn't stay at her house that night.

Viewers posted on Twitter to express how off-putting GC's self-proclaimed diva behaviour was and claimed that the show had prompted them to unfollow her on social media.

But others seemingly enjoyed it and called for her to get an Oscar as they believed she was acting in a "parody".

“Is this Gemma Collins show a parody, is she the greatest comedian in Britain?” a fan wrote online, while others claimed that Collins reminded them of David Brent from The Office.

Another social media user added: “Is Diva Forever a parody or is Gemma Collins really like this I'm going to unfollow her?"

Meanwhile, a viewer posted: “Gemma Collins is my hero."

"I don’t care what anyone says Gemma Collins is an icon,” concluded another.

A third happy fan said: "Could watch Gemma Collins all day, fully-fledged diva antics.”

Diva Forever airs on Wednesdays on ITVBe at 9pm.
