Ewan McGregor’s wife has confirmed her divorce from the actor is still going ahead, despite reports he has split from girlfriend Mary Elizabeth Winstead.

The actor, 46, struck up a relationship with his Fargo co-star last year following his split from Mavrakis after 22 years of marriage.

Speaking to The Sun, she said: “I haven’t spoken to Ewan at all, so I don’t actually know whether they are together or not.

“I don’t care what he is doing. I don’t know anything about it.”

When asked whether their divorce was still going ahead, she said: “I presume so. I haven’t heard otherwise.”

McGregor filed for a divorce from Mavrakis last month. The couple share four children.

Mavrakis’ comments come amid reports claiming Winstead called time on her relationship with the Star Wars actor following accusations of her being a “home wrecker”.

“Mary hated the embarrassment of being labelled a home wrecker,” a source told America’s Star magazine.

“Ewan decided to throw his marriage away for Mary and now it looks like he’s lost both.”

McGregor went public with his relationship with Winstead at the Golden Globes last month where he paid tribute to both her and Mavrakis in his acceptance speech.

On picking up the award for Best Actor in a Limited Series he said: “I want to take a moment to say thank you to Eve. Who always stood by me for 22 years. To my four children, Clara, Esther, Jamyan and Anouk, I love you.

“There would be no Ray without Mary Elizabeth Winstead. So thank you very much.”
