The cast and crew of the new Eddie The Eagle film were out in force at the London premiere.

After a week of promo and premieres all over the world, Hugh Jackman, Taron Egerton and skier Eddie Edwards himself were at the Odeon Leicester Square on Thursday night.

Proving that the cast and the subject of the new film got on like a house of fire, Jackman and Edwards larked around on the blue carpet for the fans and photographers.

The British skier seemed to be having a whale of a time as he jumped up and down for the fans who lined the streets of Leicester Square.

Australian star Jackman was keen to get in on the action, coming up behind him and lifting him up in the air.

Other stars who hit the premiere included Jamie Oliver and pregnant wife Jools, Gary Barlow and Claudia Schiffer.

The film is a biopic of the well-known sportsman, who became Britain’s first ever Olympic skier when he qualified for the 1988 Calgary Games.

Despite coming last in both his events, he became a firm favourite with the British public due to his determination.

Dexter Fletcher has directed the new film, which sees rising star Egerton take on the lead role, with Jackman playing his coach.
