Dan Osborne has revealed he has made contact with his wife Jacqueline Jossa after she snubbed the Celebrity Big Brother final.

The EastEnders actress failed to greet Osborne after he finished third in Monday night’s grand final, with the former TOWIE star fearing she may not speak to him.

Osborne has since confirmed they spoke after the show, saying Jossa, who he has two daughters with, told him she was “proud” of his achievement.

“I spoke to Jac briefly but I haven’t seen any of them yet,” he told Metro. “She’s a woman of very few words. She said well done. She’s proud. Did I tell her I love her? Yeah!”

Asked why she was a no-show at the final he replied: “She didn’t want to be on TV and there wasn’t really anywhere for her to wait around. She said she sort of wanted me to have my time with everyone and see her when I get home.”

The couple, who tied the knot in May 2017, were hit with split rumours ahead of Osborne’s time in the house after it was reported he had struck up a romance with Love Island star Gabby Allen – something they both vehemently deny.

Allen also appeared on Celebrity Big Brother, finishing in sixth place. Osborne said although they get on well she won’t be hanging out at his house.

“[Jossa and Allen] will probably cross paths at some point,” he said. “It’s not like she’ll come round and have a few beers, but I’m sure they’ll cross paths at some point.”

Speaking to Willis during his exit interview he said his time in the house has made him appreciate his home life and allowed him to “reflect” on his past mistakes.

“I know I am not perfect, but having time in there makes you appreciate what you have,” he said. “The time I have with my children, just being able to talk to them, and it also made me reflect on the things I don’t do right, like the mistakes in my marriage.

“It gave me a lot of time to think about how I can better everything in my life. I hope [Jossa's] still talking to me.

“It’s changed me a lot as a person, I’ve seen what I have done wrong and all I want is a happy home for my kids and for my wife to be happy as well.”

Jossa posted several supportive messages on behalf of their three-year-old daughter Ella asking viewers to vote for Osborne during his time in the Borehamwood bungalow.
