Chris Pratt and Anna Faris may not be over for good.

A friend of the Hollywood couple has hinted that they could work things out, claiming “they don't want to leave each other.”

Million Dollar Matchmaker, Patti Stanger, claimed there is “hope” as the couple are allegedly still living together.

“I don't know what happened there, [Chris] is still living in the house. Let's pray it turns around,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “If the person doesn't leave the house, there's a lot of hope there. That means they still love each other.

“Because they're not poor, they could go get a condo, Airbnb it. It's just that they don't want to leave each other. There's a lot of best friend factor there. They're very close as BFFs.”

Pratt and Faris this week announced their separation after eight years of marriage, telling fans that they had “tried really hard for a long time.”

The A-list couple, who have four-year-old son Jack together, said: “Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward.

“We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another.”

Stanger claimed the couple could benefit from marriage counselling to get them back on track.

“Maybe they're not on the same page at the same time, but I don't feel like you can't work it out,” she said.

“If the sexual chemistry is there and the friendship factor is there and they have a kid – if you get the right person to handle it, it can retool itself.”

Representatives for Pratt and Faris said: “Patti Stanger is not an authorised spokesperson for Anna and Chris and her comments (about their marital status and personal life) are invalid.”

Fans of the stars feared ‘love was dead’ after they announced their split, while others accused Jennifer Lawrence of causing it after claiming she grew close to Pratt on the set of Passengers.

Her social media accounts were trolled by users who branded her a “snake”.
