Wayne Rooney’s party girl Laura Simpson appeared to take a thinly veiled swipe at Coleen Rooney after she broke her silence on her husband’s drink driving charge.

Simpson hit out at “attention seeking” on Twitter hours after Coleen revealed she would stand by her man after he was stopped for drink driving while in a car with Simpson earlier this year. He was given a two-year driving ban and a 12-month community order.

In a since-deleted tweet, Simpson wrote: “What a load of attention seeking b*******.”

She later posted: “Very very attention seeking if you ask me.”

One user commented: “Learn to stay away from married men if you don’t want s*** off people you s***.”

Simpson replied: “Lol it’s the married men that need to learn to stay away from other women stop trying to turn my tweet into anything to do with that boring s*** now go away and crack on with your day.”

She later added that she’s “got no shame” because she “did nothing wrong”.

Her tweet came hours after Coleen shut down reports that she had split from Wayne, insisting he had “never left” their family.

In a lengthy Facebook statement she said: “Before the headlines start.... No, I’m not taking Wayne back as he’s never left. Yes, it has been a s*** time, and yes, time was spent apart and I thought my marriage might have been at an end.”

Coleen, who is pregnant with their fourth child, said she would be fine as a single parent, but said she wants “to try and continue our marriage and live as a family, because that’s what I want to do”.

She insisted she is not “stupid” and told fans to not “feel sorry” for her, before admitting her husband had made “silly and selfish mistakes”.

The couple are childhood sweethearts who tied the knot in 2008. They have sons Kai, eight, Klay, four, and one-year-old Kit together.
