Cara Delevingne has revealed that she used to hate her now-iconic eyebrows growing up.

The 26-year-old model told how she wasn’t always as proud of her bold brows but has learnt to love them.

Opening up about her insecurities, she told Instyle: “I did [hate my brows] and my mum would always tell me they were my best feature.

"I was like, 'They look like giant slugs on my face and you think they’re my best feature?'

“I wanted small eyebrows, and I’d try to tweeze them down. I was also naturally skinny, but I wanted curves."

Delevingne added that women are constantly made to feel like they should want what they don’t have.

She told the publication: “I don’t know why we do that as women. I didn’t start appreciating my brows until everyone else did.

“We want to be skinnier, we want to be taller, we want to have a big bum.

"Those are fads, and real beauty is from within. I mean we can all be vain at times, but for me, looks are one of the least meaningful things in my life."

Earlier this month the actress was praised for “breaking tradition” at Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding by opting to wear a suit and top hat instead of a dress.

She wowed spectators by attending the Royal Wedding in a skinny-fit slick black waistcoat and blazer, with cropped trousers and a top hat.

She tied the look together with a chunky grey tie and black stilettos.

Social media users widely praised the star, showing their support for the model’s “bold” move.
