Caitlyn Jenner missed the birth of her daughter Kylie’s first child as she attended an event over in Ireland.

The Olympian-turned-reality star was half way across the world attending the Xposé Benefit Beauty Awards last week when her youngest welcomed her baby daughter.

Following the birth of her little one, Jenner posted an 11-minute video diary to Youtube documenting her journey over the past nine months.

The video featured a touching moment with mother Kris Jenner and sister Khloe Kardashian in the delivery room with her.

Sister Kendall Jenner was seen watching via camera phone.

However, Caitlyn was missing from the clip as she was attending an event in Ireland during the time of the birth.

Caitlyn posted several pictures from the event, posing with stars including Love Island’s Montana Brown and Denise Van Outen.

The 68-year-old TV personality, who transitioned from Bruce Jenner to Caitlyn in 2015 was a guest at the TV3 Posé Benefit Awards which celebrated the best in fashion and entertainment.

On Sunday, the 20-year-old welcomed the birth of her baby girl, taking to social media to share the news.

The Twitter post saw the star apologise for keeping her fans “in the dark through all the assumptions”.

She wrote: “I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all journeys.

“My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime in the most positive, stress free and healthy way I knew how.

“There was no gotcha moment, no big paid reveal I had planned. I knew my baby would feel stress and every emotion so I chose to do it this way for my little life and our happiness”.

“The model went to add that pregnancy has been the most “beautiful, empowering and life-changing experience”.
