All eyes will be on Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden if they take their seats on the Britain’s Got Talent judging panel looking as glamorous as they do in the new promotional shots.

The pair made sure to stand out as they posed alongside fellow judges Simon Cowell - who was sporting his trademark white shirt and black trousers for the occasion- as well as David Walliams.

Dixon, 36, looked fierce in a sheer gold play suit with an elegant white cape which she teamed with strappy heels, while Holden, 44, also flashed her legs in a strapless cream gown with a waterfall trail.

The returning judging quartet are ready to discover Britain's most talented acts, before selecting one winner to perform at the Royal Variety Performance later this year.

Some of the acts seen so far have included Millie the dog, who used a scooter to make her way across the stage, hula hooping Lisa Sampson and Narinder Dhani who made music using his mouth and a pink comb.

Cowell had trouble understanding the accent of one hopeful from Newcastle, so host Declan Donnelly was forced to act as an interpreter.

Donnelly said: "There was a bit of the act’s explanations that were getting lost in translation so I had to come out and act as his interpreter. I think I did quite a good job, I think Simon was pleased in the end. However, I don’t think he was the winner."

Ant McPartlin will join Donnelly to host the ITV talent contest while Stephen Mulhern will present the spin-off show, Britain’s Got More Talent, on ITV2.

Britain's Got Talent starts at 8pm on ITV on Saturday 11 April.
