A giant Beyoncé mural has been erected to celebrate her pregnancy.

Queen Bey broke the news earlier this month that she is expecting twins by sharing a picture of herself cradling her baby bump on Instagram.

The picture became the most liked ever on the photo sharing app after raking in 6.33 million likes in the first eight hours of being posted.

The image – which shows Beyoncé posing on her knees against a backdrop of foliage while wearing lingerie and a veil – has been recreated by artist Lushsux, real name Mark Walls.

He painted the 60ft high mural of the singer on a wall in the Collingwood district of Melbourne, Australia.

He posted a picture of himself feigning his own pregnant belly next to the artwork and joked: “Five stories of @beyonce. Does it look like I'm expecting twins too?”

Speaking about why he chose to paint the Grammy Award winning artist, he told the BBC: “Street art used to be about real counter-culture - but now that has been normalised. What used to be radical is now just mainstream and not cool.

“Beyoncé is really the antithesis to what normal street art people like.”

The mural has attracted a string of expectant mothers who have been recreating the pose in front of the artwork.

Lushsux's portfolio includes giant murals of a naked Kim Kardashian, meme sensation Salt Bae, Vladimir Putin riding a bear and the 'death' of Taylor Swift after her bust-up with Calvin Harris and Kanye West.

Beyonce debuted her growing bump at the Grammy Awards where she performed Love Drought and Sandcastles in a gold outfit with a dramatic headdress.

The Crazy in Love singer took home Best Music Video for Formation and Best Urban Contemporary Album for Lemonade but missed out on the coveted Album of the Year to Adele who was honoured for her comeback album 25.

The decision sparked a race row online with some users pointing out that the last black woman to take the title was Lauryn Hill in 1999.

Piers Morgan also disgruntled Beyoncé fans after he branded her performance “narcissistic” and her acceptance speech for Urban Contemporary Album “awful”.
