Beyoncé and Jay-Z proved there are no hard feelings after they posed for a picture together in a lift – three years after Beyoncé’s sister Solange Knowles attacked the rapper in an elevator amid rumours of marriage troubles.

The husband and wife duo were all smiles as they stopped for the photo opportunity while celebrating Jay-Z’s 48th birthday at a party in New York.

The couple posed for pictures in a lift at the Angelika Film Centre in Soho after Beyoncé rented it out for a private showing of the new Woody Allen film, Wonder Wheel.

The picture comes days after Jay-Z, real name Shawn Carter, finally admitted to cheating on his wife.

It was reported that Solange attacked the US rapper in a lift after the Met Gala in 2014 over rumours of infidelity.

Beyoncé later fuelled these by referencing “Becky with the good hair” on her latest album, Lemonade.

Opening up about his infidelity in a candid interview he claimed it was caused by him shutting down his emotions.

He told the New York Times: “You have to survive. So you go into survival mode, and when you go into survival mode, what happens? You shut down all emotions,” he told the New York Times.

“So, even with women, you gonna shut down emotionally, so you can't connect. In my case, like, it's deep. And then all the things happen from there: infidelity.”

The A-list couple are parents to five-year-old Blue Ivy and recently welcomed twins Rumi and Sir.
