Azealia Banks has said that she’d ‘love’ to perform at Donald Trump’s inauguration as it will be an ‘epic moment in modern history’.

The controversial rapper, who was banned from Twitter last year following a racist tirade at Zayn Malik, has thrown her hat in the ring for Friday’s event.

While a number of big-name stars have turned down the offer to take part in the inauguration, it seems that Banks is desperate for a slot.

"Saw the entertainment line for the inauguration it made me very upset,” she posted on Facebook.

“This is an EPIC moment in modern history and it should def be celebrated in style. I would love to perform at the inauguration.”

While most of Banks’ followers didn’t seem keen on the idea, far-right writer Milo Yiannopoulos gave her his support.

“You're my first, second and last choice,” he commented under her status.

A number of musicians including Moby, Charlotte Church and Rebecca Ferguson recently revealed that they had turned down offers to perform at the inauguration.

Despite being a vocal Trump supporter, Kanye West was not invited to perform as, according to a spokesperson, it’s not the ‘right venue’ for him.

Dreamgirls star Jennifer Holliday pulled out of her scheduled performance at the weekend after reportedly receiving death threats.

Acts who are still expected to perform include America's Got Talent star Jackie Evancho, 3 Doors Down, Toby Keith, The Piano Guys, Larry Stewart and DJ Ravidrums.
