Ariana Grande and Piers Morgan appear to have put their feud behind them after a chance meeting at a restaurant, with the singer voicing her hopes that she can make a “future feminist” out of the Good Morning Britain host.

Morgan posted a tweet in which he thanked Grande for a “great night” earlier today, prompting Grande to share further details of their encounter.

“Thank u for some laughs and some v productive conversation! It was nice bumping into u!” she wrote, adding the hashtags “#FutureFeministPiers” and “#FingersCrossed.”

When a fan account replied to the Thank U, Next singer with the message “wait what,” the 25-year-old explained precisely what happened, revealing that she had inadvertently crossed paths with the TV host at a restaurant.

“Well… we bumped into each other. At a restaurant,” she wrote. “And I decided to sit with him and we spoke for a while. I think some progress was made!”

“Turns out face to face discussions are a bit kinder and gentler, even if you do indeed disagree,” she concluded.

Grande’s fans praised her for taking a “mature” approach to the disagreement, describing her as “a good role model.”

“Your maturity and kind heart are unbelievably inspiring,” one follower wrote.

“You are such an incredible role model Ariana,” another added. “You handle everything with grace and maturity. Thank you so much for leading with such an amazing example.”

The pair’s surprise reconciliation comes after Grande and Morgan exchanged harsh words over the journalist’s criticism of girl group Little Mix.

Morgan slammed the band for posing naked to promote their single Strip, prompting Grande to speak out in support of her former tour mates.

“I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to. Women can be sexual AND talented,” Grande wrote in a tweet directed at the GMB host.

“Naked and dignified. It’s OUR choice. & we will keep fighting til people understand. I say this w all due respect but thank u, next.

“Also @piersmorgan, I look forward to the day you realize there are other ways to go about making yourself relevant than to criticize young, beautiful, successful women for everything they do.

“I think that’ll be a beautiful thing for you and your career or what’s left of it.”
