Ant McPartlin’s estranged make-up artist wife Lisa Armstrong has reportedly been moved from Britain’s Got Talent to its spin-off show following news of their divorce.

While Armstrong will still be part of the ITV talent contest, she is now expected to work exclusively on Britain’s Got More Talent alongside host Stephen Mulhern to avoid any awkward run-ins with her husband of 11 years.

It is unlikely that the pair, who announced that they are ending their marriage last weekend, will be in the studio at the same time.

“Lisa has worked on BGT for years and is keen to continue as normal. She has friends there and enjoys being part of the show,” a source told The Sun.

“They are all keen to keep things civilised with Ant. It should certainly mean less awkward encounters.”

Armstrong works as a make-up artist on a number of primetime shows including Strictly Come Dancing and has won a Royal Television Society award for her work.

News of the divorce broke on Saturday with a spokesman for McPartlin telling the Standard: “In response to the recent speculation in the media, Ant is very sad to announce that, after eleven years, he is ending his marriage to Lisa.

“Ant asks for privacy at this difficult time, for both himself, Lisa and their immediate families.”

The TV presenter is reportedly set to pay Armstrong a record £31 million in their divorce settlement, to avoid a lengthy court battle.
