Ant McPartlin has been photographed with "a big smile on his face" after leaving rehab following a month of treatment.

The TV host was spotted walking his dog Labrador with a female companion this week.

He sought treatment in March after a drink-driving crash in March between the Mini he was driving and two other cars.

The star was fined £86,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after the incident.

The troubled Saturday Night Takeaway host joked with his friend as they walked their dogs in the sunshine at a London park.

An onlooker told the newspaper: “It was great to see him looking so well, and much more upbeat."

They added: "The Ant we saw this week could have been a different person.

“He looked healthier, brighter and had a big smile on his face.”

McPartlin stepped down from television commitments for the "foreseeable future" as he re-entered rehab following his arrest.

This included the final two episodes of popular Saturday-entertainment show Saturday Night Takeway, which Mr McPartlin presents with long-term professional partner Declan Donnelly.

McPartlin, who lives in Chiswick, west London, was arrested at around 4pm on March 18 after a failing a roadside breathalyser test following a collision between the Mini he was driving and two other cars.

The Metropolitan Police previously confirmed that a number of individuals were treated at the scene for minor injuries, and a child passenger from one of the cars was taken to hospital to be checked as a precaution.

McPartlin was charged by postal requisition of March 21, three days after he was arrested.
