Love Island winner Amber Gill has addressed the rumours about her starring on Dancing on Ice.

The former beautician, 22, said she “did not realise she had a place” on the show, which she was rumoured to be taking part in later on this year.

Maura Higgins was recently announced as a contestant – following in the footsteps of Love Island 2017 winner Kem Cetinay and 2018 finalist Wes Nelson.

Amber, who won this year's series with ex Greg O'Shea, went on to say that while she considered it – it was not the right option for her.

She told the Sun: “I think a few Islanders from this series went to ITV and had a chat about Dancing On Ice, but it’s a super-huge commitment and I went away from that meeting thinking it was probably a bit much, training constantly.

“I went to see them, though, because I think you have got to find out what something is before you just say a flat-out no.”

Maura and Amber have been pitted against each other since leaving the villa after both reality stars won clothing deals and have capitalised on their success.

“I’m totally different from everyone else,” she said. “If I get picked for things, great, but if somebody else gets picked, that’s fine. I’m my own person and I’m on my own path. I think there’s enough room for everybody.”

Earlier this month, Amber announced a deal with clothing brand Miss Pap, which was rumoured to be worth £1 million.

The Newcastle-born reality TV star is the face of the brand’s relaunch and she will unveil her first clothing collection in October. The range will be “all-inclusive”, with sizes going from 6 to 26.
