Former Love Island star Amber Davies has warned this year’s winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer that their relationship might not last long in the outside world.

The reality star won last year’s series with then-boyfriend Kem Cetinay but said that they realised they were wrong for each other almost immediately.

Now Davies has delivered the loved-up couple a stark warning, claiming that the romance would either become “exhausting or a success story."

“Kem and I realised we weren’t meant to be after just one week of the series ending,” she told The Sun.

“But I thought by splitting up I was going to break the nation’s hearts and he felt the same.”

She added: “Jack and Dani will know right away too [whether their love is real]. Their relationship will either become exhausting or a success story.

“If they do reach a point where they want to split then they mustn’t stay with each other just to please other people or their fans.”

Davies and Cetinay stayed together for four months after the show, despite Davies’ admission that she wanted to split earlier.

She claimed that everything changed once they actually integrated into each other’s lives, met friends and family and had their mobile phones back.

“The biggest moment for the winners coming home today will be as they reach the airport,” she said.

“You’re a puppet. You’re getting dragged to each corner of the airport. People are screaming and asking for your picture and you think you’re dreaming. It was amazing but it was very scary.”

Dyer and Fincham were crowned winners of the 2018 series of the show on Monday night during the live final from the Majorcan villa.

They opted to split the £50,000 prize money after being given the opportunity to split or keep.

They joked that they would finally be joining the ‘Do Bits Society’ now that they were away from the cameras.
