From Stormzy to The Killers, it's safe to say that this year’s Glastonbury Festival featured some pretty impressive headliners.

But almost undoubtedly, the true star of the show was a 15-year-old in a PSG shirt and a bucket hat. Yes, really.

Alex Mann has become an overnight celebrity since he was brought on stage during Dave’s Glasto performance to rap AJ Tracey’s verse in his hit Thiago Silva. A video of his rendition, word perfect no less, has now gone viral on social media.

Because of his surprisingly flawless performance, some critics have questioned whether his stint on stage was a little too rehearsed.

But Alex, who hails from Wells in Somerset, has since squashed rumours that his spontaneous gig was staged.

He told the Guardian: “It was 100%. Completely just happened…I have only ever seen him once before at a show in Bristol.”

“I’m not sure what was going through my head. I was so nervous. I thought: ‘What if I mess up? But then I went on stage and performed and it felt so good.”

He added: “The way security guards took me back down was in front of everyone and I was walking past people who were screaming my name. I had the best time of my life.”

Alex’s take on the rap song proved so popular that even Thiago Silva himself praised the teen on Twitter.

Dave, who picked Alex to perform alongside him out of a crowd of thousands, joked he could retire after receiving recognition from the PSG defender.

The South London rapper tweeted: “Thiago Silva has recognised Thiago Silva and now I have decided to retire. My work here is done.”

With Alex’s Twitter following soaring from 100 to 98,000 in just one day, we and the rest of the nation will be waiting for his mixtape to drop any day now.
