The rumoured husband of Adele has responded to reports that he and the star have secretly tied the knot.

Sports agent Rich Paul, 41, was coy about his relationship with the British singing superstar on a recent appearance on CBS Mornings.

CBS host Gayle King asked Paul on Monday about rumours the couple, who have been dating since 2021, wed this summer.

King asked the agent if she should refer to Adele as “Mrs. Paul” the next time she speaks to her.

Paul replied by saying: “You can say whatever you want.” He added he wasn’t the “type of person to put [his] personal life [out there]. It’s not for the media.”

However, Paul said the couple were “great” for each other and had helped one another since becoming an item two years ago.

“She’s been great, I think she would agree that we definitely helped each other.

“I’m in a good space, we’re in a good space. Happy. She’s superb. She’s been great for me. We’ve been great for each other.”

It comes after Adele once again sparked speculation she married Paul by referring to herself as a “wife” during her Las Vegas residency show.

The British singer, 35, dropped another major hint that the pair had tied the knot during a casual conversation at her Weekends With Adele show in Sin City.

Discussing Paul’s love of American football, Adele said she didn’t share his passion for the game. “I’m not the greatest wife when it comes to football,” she quipped.

It comes just weeks after Adele, who went public with Paul in July 2021 two years after she split from ex-husband Simon Konecki, called her partner her “husband” while on stage.

In footage from the gig earlier this month, the singer told a female audience member: “You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband’s here tonight.”

When the fan responded, “Can you try?” Adele hilariously replied, “No, I don’t want to try. I’m with Rich. You’re crazy, leave me alone.”

After the video went viral online, fans of Adele were quick to point out her off-hand “husband” remark and question whether the pair had already said ‘I do’.

One fan commented: “Her husband??? omgg Adele Paul???” while another remarked: “Did she secretly get married?”

“HUSBAND?!?!?!?!?!?!” a third wrote. “No. Stop. MOTHER IS MARRIED??”

It was previously reported early in 2023 that the pair were engaged after Adele was spotted with a large diamond on her finger. Reports suggested that the couple were set to wed in the summer.

Adele, who has a son Angelo, 10, with her ex-husband, has also recently said she is ready to be a mother again.
