Mazda London Triathlon 2008

Where: Docklands
Incorporating swimming, cycling and running this is a real challenge although you will be relieved to know there are a variety of entry options with distances to suit most fitness levels. The super sprint includes a 400m swim, 10k cycle ride and 2.5k run. Although individual registration has now closed you can enter to run for a charity.

10 AUGUST

50 Mile Challenge

Where: Gate Inn, Marshside, Canterbury
A safe 6.55 mile course (total distance: 52.4 miles) over local farmland which allows competitors the option of dropping out whenever they wish. The route will be fully signed and marshalled with first aid and water stations provided. A bar and BBQ will be open all day.

London Pride 10K

Where: Victoria Park, Hackney
The UK's major Gay and Lesbian sporting event but a race open to everyone, regardless of age, ability, gender or sexuality. Expected to draw up to 800 runners and a hugely supportive crowd.

Burnham Beeches Half Marathon

Where: Caldicott Boys School, Bucks
A flat, mixed terrain for all abilities through out this picturesque and ancient woodland.

Rye Summer Classic 5K

Where: Rye Nature Reserve, Rye Harbour, Sussex.
A super-fast, traffic-free road course through with the chance to see nature in its natural habitat. The course is flat and low lying and partly runs adjacent to the coastal road. For runners of all standards including beginners.

London to Windsor Bike Ride

Where: Richmond Green
Enjoy a late Summer's day cycling - 37 miles on country roads or an alternative 29 mile route which is perfect for families. Both follow the river, winding along leafy lanes and through the pretty villages of the Thames Valley. At the finish you'll find entertainment, food stalls, a beer tent, music and sports massage waiting for you.
