GB eventing team announcement postponed

Badminton Horse Trials
12 May 2012

The announcement of Great Britain's Olympic eventing team has been put back until next month.

The five-strong group was due to be unveiled on May 24, but those plans were disrupted by bad weather.

Waterlogged conditions led to both the Mitsubishi Motors Badminton Horse Trials and Chatsworth International being cancelled, which would have been shop-window events for the selectors.

Potential Olympic combinations are now re-routing, with Saumur in France next weekend, the Suburu Houghton International Horse Trials in Norfolk from May 24-27 and Yorkshire's Equi-trek Bramham International Horse Trials (June 7-10) taking centre stage.

The British team will now be unveiled after Bramham.
