Pilot charged with alcohol offence

A pilot has been arrested at Leeds Bradford Airport

An airline pilot has been charged with an alcohol-related aviation offence.

Irfan Faiz, 54, from Pakistan, is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on Friday charged with carrying out an activity ancillary to an aviation function while impaired by drink, West Yorkshire Police said.

He was arrested at Leeds Bradford International Airport shortly after 10pm on Wednesday.
