People in pro-cannabis state Colorado can buy the drug straight from a newly unveiled vending machine.
The machine, called the ZaZZZ, will reside outside marijuana dispensary Herbal Elements and requires buyers to scan their driving license before they can access the drug.
Multiple cameras are attached to the machine, which make sure the person swiping the card is the correct owner.
Creators Tranzbyte described the ZaZZZ as an “automated age-verifying dispensing machine.”
It is only available for medical marijuana users, but plans are in place to update the machines for full commercial use and include edible brownies.
Stephen Shearin, chief executive of Tranzbyte said the machine was "great for shy folk."
He said: "We imagine it filling the needs based on the dispensary and their client needs wants ultimately, but for now, I see someone who knows what they want approaching the machine, purchasing and departing — all within regulatory guidelines, but without the counter lines."
