Woman sent flowers on her 21st birthday from dad who died five years ago

A woman who has been sent flowers every year from her late father has shared pictures of her final bouquet in an emotional post on her 21st birthday.

Bailey Sellers, from Tennessee, lost her father Michael to cancer when she was just 16-years-old.

But in a touching gesture, he arranged for her to be sent flowers every year on her birthday until she turned 21.

This year Bailey was sent a bunch of purple flowers in what is to be the final delivery and, to mark the occasion, she shared an emotional note written by her father on Twitter, alongside a picture of them together.

“My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he pre-paid flowers so I could receive them every year on my birthday,” she wrote.

“Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy.”

The note from her father said: “This is my last love letter to you until we meet again.

“I do not want you to shed another tear for me my baby girl for I am in a better place.”

“Be happy and live life to the fullest,” he added. “I will still be with you through every milestone, just look around and there I will be.”

Bailey told the New York Post that she always dreaded her birthday since her dad had died and said she was particularly nervous about this year as she knew it would be the last delivery.

“I broke down,” she said, describing the moment she opened the card. “That letter was very very awesome and sad all at the same time.”
