This video is claimed to be the most relaxing film ever made.

The seven-minute clip, created by a Danish tourist board, was shown to significantly reduce heart rates when tested on a packed cinema of “busy city folk”.

It features sweeping footage of the spectacular landscape of the west coast of Zealand, Denmark’s largest island, and some of the most calming natural phenomena – from lapping waves to rustling leaves and softly tweeting birds – all set to a gentle piano soundtrack.

Heart rates decreased by more than 10 per cent on average at the cinema screening held by creators Visit Vestsjælland, who fitted the audience with pulse monitors.

The Local reported one member of the test audience as saying: “Pleasant music, wonderful pictures – it gave me a sense of inner peace.”
