This is the moment a brazen thief snatches an iPad from the hands of a child who was playing games on the device as he waited for his mother in a beauty salon.
A teenager has been arrested for the audacious theft, which happened at a salon in Tamarac, Florida.
The four-year-old boy was playing with the tablet in the salon where his mother works, when the teenage thief ripped the iPad from his grasp, before sprinting out of the door.
The teenager was chased by a member of salon staff, with the toddler hot on his heels, but the iPad snatcher was not apprehended at the time.
After the theft, which happened in July, police released the video and a description of the thief and offered a $3,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
A 16-year-old was later arrested, and he has now been charged with one count of strong arm robbery.
Prosecutors are now deciding whether to try him as an adult.
However, the story is said to have had a happy ending for the little boy, after Olympic gold medalist boxer Howard Davis Jr reportedly heard about the theft and donated a replacement iPad to the salon.
