Rebel Wilson says management asked why she wanted to lose weight as she ‘earned millions’

Rebel Wilson admitted her management were heistant about her losing weight because she was “earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl”.

The comedic actress, 41, has wowed the whole of Hollywood with her transformation after losing more than 5.5 stone.

Now the TV personality confessed even her own management were initially surprised by her desire to want to get into shape.

So much so, she claimed her management team questioned her decision to why she wanted to do it because she was success just as she was.

“I got a lot of pushback from my own team actually, here in Hollywood, when I said OK, I’m going to do this year of health, I feel like I’m really gonna physically transform and change my life,” she told BBC Breakfast.

“And they were like why? Why would you wanna do that? Because I was earning millions of dollars being the funny fat girl and being that person.”

Elsewhere in the chat, Wilson said while she felt “confident being bigger” - her emotional eating wasn’t “healthy”.

“Like I did not need a tub of ice cream every night. That was not, that was me kind of numbing emotions using food, which wasn’t the healthiest thing,” she added.

Over the years, the Bridesmaids actress has won many fans for her roles in comedy films.

She become well known for her role as Fat Amy - referring to her weight - in the Pitch Perfect trilogy.

Wilson has been sharing her weight loss journey with her 10.3million Instagram followers.

From her gym trips to swimsuit days, the actress has been capturing everything on camera for her followers to see.

Her weight loss has been met with heaps of praise from her fans who feel inspired by her efforts and share positive comments on her Instagram.
