Loved-up Prince Harry averted his eyes from a troupe of scantily clad dancers today.

Perhaps he didn’t want his new girlfriend Meghan Markle to see photos of him “checking them out” out during his two week official royal tour of duty of the West Indies and Caribbean.

If that was his plan it was going well until it backfired because he was then forced to get up and dance anyway.

Harry spent most time dancing with Claudette Peters at a reception held by The Prime Minister of Antigua.

He is on a mission representing the Queen on the seven-country tour but he faced some online criticism from twitter users.

For a while hashtag “NotOurPrince” was trending on twitter locally.

Earlier Harry endured an excruciating speech given in his honour when he was invited to spend his “honeymoon” in Antigua if he marries his girlfriend.

Gaston Browne, Antigua’s prime minister, told the Prince: “I believe we are expecting a new princess soon,” as he addressed him at a VIP reception on the island.

“I want you to know that you are very welcome to come on your honeymoon here.”

Later Mr Browne added: “I believe Meghan is a very beautiful looking girl, they make a very good looking couple.”

Also at the event was Miss Antigua and Barbuda Leanda Ann Norville, who said: “He was a gentleman. Of course I want to be his princess. Everyone at this party does. His girlfriend seems a nice lady, but I would be a good girlfriend for him.”

Later today Harry was returning to Antigua’s sister island of Barbuda where he holidayed with his mother Diana, Princess of Wales just a few months before her death.

The Prince and his brother the Duke of Cambridge travelled with Diana to the island in April 1997 for a holiday.

Mr Browne said about Barbuda: “Prince Harry said to me that he remembers going there with his mother as a little boy.

“It was one of her favourite spots. He said he was very much looking forward to going back there.”
