A British man was stabbed by a gang of thugs during a violent robbery in Ibiza.

Shocking footage appears to show a holidaymaker, 52, and his 25-year-old sons being confronted by a mob in the West End district of San Antonio.

One of the men was stabbed in the neck by the thugs who wielded knives and broken glass bottles in the attack, Mail Online reported.

One attacker is believed to have ripped a gold ring and chain from one of the trio amid violent scenes.

Attackers were filmed hurling chairs at their victims, who has been enjoying the first day of their holiday, before one launches a flying kick.

Footage of the incident was handed police who have since arrested two Senegalese men, aged 37 and 42, after the attack in the early hours of this morning.

They were detained for several offences, including stabbing with a knife and robbery.

A second clip, posted on Facebook, appeared to show the family caught up in a mass brawl between two gangs.

It is not known how seriously injured the family are.
