Charred dirt and bare trees are all that is left in some parts of the country where the blaze destroyed homes and property.

The fires burned in the Attica region of Greece which encompassed the capital of Athens.

Mati Village was at the centre of the disaster where where 26 bodies were found in the yard of a villa.

The video footage overlooks properties and land in Mati and Neos Voutzas where at least 80 people died when the blaze tore through the area, including an Irish newlywed husband.
