Theresa May caught on camera jiving along to Abba's Dancing Queen at Henley Festival

Theresa May has been caught on camera dancing along to Abba at Henley Festival.

The Prime Minister, who leaves office this week, let her hair down as she jived to Dancing Queen on Saturday evening.

The video clip showed Mrs May waving her hands from side-to-side while standing above the crowds from an elevated platform.

She was surrounded by others as she danced along to the song, performed by tribute band Bjorn Again.

She was earlier spotted in the grandstand, enjoying the music and dancing to other hits including Mamma Mia and Take A Chance.

Dancing Queen is the same song that Mrs May danced to as she came onto the stage during a party conference in Birmingham in 2018.

She chose the walk-on music in a nod to the attention she received when she danced in front of the cameras during a trip to South Africa and Kenya last summer.

Henley Festival, held in Henley-on-Thames, is not far from Theresa May's Berkshire home in Sonning and her constituency, Maidenhead.

It takes place over five days and celebrates the best of UK and international music and arts.

Mrs May and her husband Philip were attending the festival near her Maidenhead constituency on Saturday evening, having been at Wimbledon to see the women's singles final earlier in the day.

On Sunday she headed to Lord's to watch England take on New Zealand in the final of the men's Cricket World Cup.

Mrs May has a little over a week remaining as Prime Minister before handing over to either Boris Johnson or Jeremy Hunt, the two remaining candidates in contest to replace her as Tory leader.
