The Queen has joined thousands of revellers at Epsom Downs Racecourse for the second day of the Derby.

The Investec Derby Festival at the Surrey racecourse attracted a star-studded crowd, with the likes of actress Dame Helen Mirren, Liz Hurley, singer Frankie Bridge and reality TV star Millie Mackintosh also in attendance.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II wore a lilac coat and matching hat, adorned with a broach and floral arrangement for the occasion.

She was greeted by Julia Budd, director of Epsom, as she arrived at the event in Surrey amid glorious sunshine.

Gentlemen sported suits and top hats while ladies wore an array of colourful dresses and fascinators for the UK's biggest flat race.

Racegoers were told to “dress to impress” by event organisers to be in with a chance of winning the Style Award title and £5000.

And they pulled out all the stops to be in with a chance of the jackpot.

Derby Day is one of the biggest race days in the summer calendar.

Winners receive a prize pot of £1.5 million.
