A 29-year-old man who was preparing for a trip of a lifetime is the tenth person to be named among the dead in the Manchester terror attack.

Martyn Hett, a former London student and PR manager, had attended the Ariana Grande concert on Monday night – two days before he was due to embark on a two-month trip to the United States.

According to Martyn’s family, he became separated from his friends and had not been seen since.

His desperate brother, Dan, had been tweeting images of Martyn in the hope that someone would recognise him and get in touch.

And comedian Jason Manford also appealed for help, tweeting: "Friend of my family is still missing. He’s called Martyn Hett, he was wearing a retro shirt and has a Deidrie Barlow tattoo on his ankle/calf."

But on Wednesday it was confirmed that that the Manchester-born Grande fan was one of 22 people killed in the suicide bomb attack.

Martyn, who had appeared on TV shows Come Dine With Me and Tattoo Fixers, had been tweeting during the concert at the Manchester Arena.

Just an hour before the attack, he posted: “When you sneak out for a toilet break on the Macy Gray song and the entire arena had the same idea #DangerousWomanTour.”

According to a friend of Martyn's, he left the concert space to visit the bar ten minutes before the bomb was detonated.

On Wednesday, Martyn's boyfriend Russell Hayward tweeted: “We got the news last night that our wonderful iconic and beautiful Martyn didn’t survive.”

“He left this world exactly how he lived, centre of attention…. I love you Martyn. I always will.”

Martyn's brother Dan wrote: "The found my brother last night. We are heartbroken."

Friends of the pop fan have paid tribute to his "hilarious and loving" personality.

He was a supporter of LGBT rights and often used his own website to publish articles highlighting issues in the gay community.

He penned an emotional tribute to those killed in a shooting at Pulse nightclub in Orlando last June, following a vigil held in memory of the victims.

“My heart is still breaking for the victims and their families but it’s been refreshing to see so much community spirit and support in the wake of it all," he wrote.

“So many people turned up that they managed to create a wall of people holding hands around the entire gay village - we’ve got a long way to go but I feel hopeful for the future.”

In 2014, after winning Come Dine With Me couples with his boyfriend, he also wrote a piece about trolling on social media.

"Throwaway comments are easy to make and Twitter, after all, is an open arena for people to say whatever they want," he said.

"If my one-hour of fame taught me anything, it’s that there’s always going to be a t*** behind a keyboard that secretly wishes they could win £1,000 by drinking loads of wine on TV – like we did."

Martyn is one of ten people killed in the suicide bombing to have been identified,

Ariana Grande ‘superfan’ Georgina Callander, 18, was one of the first victims to be named, after dying in hospital shortly after the attack.

And the youngest victim is eight-year-old Saffie-Rose Roussos, from Lancashire, who had been at the concert with her mother and sister when she was killed in the blast. They are both being treated for injuries.

The family of 15-year-old Olivia Campbell, from Bury, launched a desperate appeal to find her having not heard from her since before the concert but, on Wednesday, her mother, Charlotte, confirmed her “darling, gorgeous, precious girl” was one of those killed.

Victims: (Top L-R) Saffie Rose Roussos, Olivia Campbell, Georgine Callander, Kelly Brewster, John Atkinson (Bottom L-R) Alison Howe, Lisa Lees, Marcin Klis, Angelika Klis, Martyn Hett
