Commuters are experiencing cancellations and severe delays on trains to and from Liverpool Street Station this evening.

An earlier signalling problem at London Liverpool Street has caused delays of up to 45 minutes on trains between the station and Hackney Downs, with several services being cancelled.

National Rail said it expected delays to continue until at least 10:30pm this evening.

Passengers took to Twitter to vent their anger at the disruption, some posting pictures of large queues in the station.
